The process

Eight steps between a sketch and the aisle.

Every step has a date, a place, and a person responsible. This page explains the standard cadence. Your own plan is built from your wedding date the moment you enter it.

  1. Curator sketching, café table, US city

    01

With your curator, in Chicago or on Zoom

    Consultation and timeline

A detailed consultation to go over your wedding plans, styling needs, and every important detail. We’ll map out exact deadlines, appointments, fittings, and decisions so you know what needs to happen and when.

You also tell us your dates here. Everything after this is scheduled backwards from your wedding, and your curator draws a sketch that is yours to keep whatever you decide.

  2. Swatches laid out for photography, daylight, atelier table

    02

By email and video with your curator

    Swatches, online and over email

Every fabric and lace we propose for your sketch is photographed in daylight, close up and on a form, and sent to you by email. Your curator walks through them with you on a call, and your coordinator can film any swatch moving in the atelier on request. Take a week before choosing.

  3. Pattern maker and coordinator at a cutting table, measurements sheet

    03

Your home, then the Saigon atelier

    Measurements, reviewed twice

Each measurement has a short video beside it so you can take it correctly, and we ask you to take it twice on different days. Your coordinator then sits with the pattern maker and goes through every number. Anything that looks unusual, we ask you to re-take before a single cut is made.

  4. Sketch signed, swatch pinned to it, curator’s table

    04

    With your curator

    Design sign-off and deposit

Finalize and sign off on all design details, secure your gown’s production date, and receive an estimated ship date. A 50% deposit of the gown total is required to secure your order and production date.

If you are bringing your own lace, silk or an heirloom piece, we plan the hand-over with you here. Your curator photographs and logs every item, it travels insured and tracked, and your coordinator confirms arrival with photographs the same day.

  5. Bride in a floral lace gown with the train fanned out across a white salon floor

    05

    Ho Chi Minh City

    Approval photographs

The finished gown, pressed, on the form, from every angle, plus close-ups of seams, closures and any lace placement. Nothing is bagged until you say yes.

  6. Bride adjusting the bodice of a lace gown in front of a rail of dresses

    06

    Saigon to your door

    Home

Express courier, insured, tracked. The tracking number is on your page and an AirTag rides inside the box with its location shared to you, so you never wonder where your gown is. Your coordinator checks on it daily. We hold a six-week buffer for shipping and customs and aim for the gown to be in your hands three months before the wedding.

We unbox together on a call so we can check it as one. From here the gown is in your hands. Any fittings or alterations are in the comfort of your city with your own seamstress, and Tina can join on video.
